Bio/Description

I am a trained clinical psychologist with a focus on the use of cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) in the treatment of anxiety and stressor related disorders, including social anxiety disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, and post-traumatic stress disorder. I also completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the Aaron T. Beck Psychopathology Research Center at the University of Pennsylvania, funded by the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. My current interests focus on improving suicide prevention effots, as well as understanding how experiencing traumatic events can increase suicide risk. I am a licensed psychologist and have been involved as a trainer/consultant for a national training initiative in CBT for depression within the VA Healthcare System. Currently, I teach Psychopathology (PSY 207).
